Designing Polymeric Thermogels
Abstract: Thermogels i.e., thermoresponsive polymers that in solution can form hydrogels when changing the temperature, have many promising biomedical applications. Controlling the temperature that the gelation occurs is crucial for the application. This can be achieved by tailoring the polymer. Our research focuses in designing well-defined block-based polymers and investigating how the structural characteristics of the polymers like composition, molar mass, architecture, as well as the chemistry, affect the thermoresponsive properties of their aqueous solutions.
